With the recent changes to planning laws in Victoria, you can now build a secondary dwelling that is under 60m² on your property as long as it meets certain planning criteria. Understanding the current housing crisis and the need for such houses, we are excited to share the plans for a new spec home we have created, Carrajung Cottage.
We designed Carrajung Cottage with all of the best Swanbuild design features in a smaller footprint so you can build it on your site (in Victoria) without needing a planning permit. It’s the perfect solution to create space for family or even rent out the dwelling for extra income.
The home is currently under construction at our Swan Hill Factory and is estimated to be completed by December 2024.

The home features extra large windows to flood the space with natural light, and its raked ceiling in the living room and kitchen gives the compact floor plan a great sense of space.
